Sr Test Engineer/Test Team Lead/Supervisor

• Orange County, CA - WORK IS ONSITE (industrial/MFG site) , sorry no Hybrid or WFH available.
• Direct Hire/Perm - Must be ITAR Eligible to work with Aerospace, DOD, Defense related industry tech.
• Role is for a SENIOR, Hands-On Engineer, but also for Team Lead/Supervisor candidate.
  
  

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Test Engineer and Supervisor to Take on a hands-on Lead our testing team in the aerospace and defense sector.

The ideal candidate will bring the ability to perform in BOTH a Hands-on, Individual testing capacity and in a team/project supervisory role, leading teams efforts, Schedules and monitoring performance and production of the team.

The Ideal Candidate Will Bring With Them Applicable Experience And The Ability To Take On Responsibility For As Much Of The Following As Possible

• Overseeing the testing processes for aircraft electronics, and testing team performance.
• Operating and managing Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and vibration testing.
• Lead and oversee the testing processes for wire harnesses and swappable aircraft/communication/electrical component technology Units.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards, specifically for aerospace and defense electronics to ensure compliance with IPC 610/620 and J-STD 001 standards.
• An ability to identify opportunities to improve performance, decrease inefficiencies, via Lean/Six Sigma methods, would be highly desired.
  
  

Role

Ideally qualified candidate should be able to perform the tasks listed above, AND should bring as much of the list below, to the table/role:

• EDUCATION - We will give priority consideration to those with Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• EXPERIENCE LEVEL - We would PREFER those with a least 5 or more years of experience in military and aerospace electronics/application testing.
• At least a year or two or more of experience leading/supervising and leading a team of Quality/Test engineers.
• Aviation/Military Technology Testing experience, including a background testing wiring harnesses, line replaceable units, and aircraft and other aviation electronics including swappable units/LRUs
• ATE/Vibration testing Experience
• DESIRED Experience or Certifications in:
• IPC 610/620
• J-STD 001LEAN
• Six Sigma are highly desirable.
