Key Responsibilities
- Monitor billing practices to ensure accuracy and adherence to healthcare accounting standards.
- Conduct audits of billing processes and documentation to identify areas for improvement.
- Identify and review billing errors and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with billing and coding teams to optimize billing workflows and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide training and support to staff on billing compliance and quality assurance best practices.
- Prepare reports on billing performance and compliance metrics for management review.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance billing accuracy and efficiency.
- You must have experience working within the CalAIM/Medi-CAL framework.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in medical billing and healthcare accounting, with a focus on CalAIM compliance.
- Strong knowledge of billing compliance regulations and best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough billing analyses.
- Experience in billing management and administration is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate training and reporting.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality assurance.
- Competitive compensation from $70,000 up to $120,000/year for exceptional candidates with direct experience in this field.
