This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure projects meet regulatory standards and are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee construction projects related to municipal infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and water systems.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with architects, planners, and other engineers to ensure project success.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and government agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- 3 years of experience in municipal construction.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in engineering design software and tools.
- Nice to have: Experience working in the public sector.
