The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision parts in a manufacturing environment. The CNC Operator will ensure that the machines are running efficiently and will adhere to all quality standards while maintaining safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines according to production specifications.
- Monitor the machining process and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to prevent downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers to verify dimensions of machined parts.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with CNC machines and programming, including G&M codes.
- Knowledge of controls including Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and Okuma is a plus.
- Strong understanding of machining and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Proficient in using measuring tools and instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
