The Setup Programmer - CNC is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts. This role requires a strong understanding of both machining processes and CNC programming techniques, ensuring efficient production while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and set up CNC machines for production runs
- Operate CNC equipment to manufacture parts according to specifications
- Conduct tool setup and adjustments as required
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Perform quality control checks on completed parts
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement solutions
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to 6S principles
- Document and track production processes and outcomes
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes
- Proven experience with CNC programming and machine operation
- Familiarity with Mazatrol and conversational programming
- Knowledge of G-Code and its application in CNC machinery
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with precision measurement tools and techniques
- Understanding of CAD/CAM software for programming purposes
- Strong troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of quality control processes and methodologies
- Familiarity with tool setup and lathe operations
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
