We are seeking a highly skilled Superintendent to oversee construction projects in Newport News. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent will lead on-site operations, manage trade partners, and enforce safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations on the construction site to ensure projects are executed according to plans and specifications.
- Manage site logistics planning to ensure efficient workflow and resource allocation.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of trade partners to maintain quality and schedules.
- Review and interpret architectural drawings to ensure compliance and accuracy during the construction process.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure that all work meets industry standards and project specifications.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards on the job site and promote a culture of safety among all team members.
- Utilize Bluebeam for project documentation, communication, and collaboration with the project team.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases of construction.
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Experience in site logistics planning and trade partner management.
- Proficiency in scheduling and understanding of architectural drawings.
- Excellent quality control skills and ability to enforce safety standards.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam and other relevant construction software.
- OSHA certification is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a nice to have.
