Commercial HVAC Estimator

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate estimates for HVAC system installations in commercial buildings, ensuring projects are completed within budget and in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and blueprints to understand requirements and scope of work
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC projects, including labor, materials, and equipment
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data for accurate estimations
• Analyze bid proposals and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project timelines and budgets
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Evaluate energy efficiency options to provide sustainable solutions
• Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of estimates and project documentation
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HVAC estimator in the commercial sector
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and HVAC design principles
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost analysis and budgeting
• Knowledge of energy efficiency practices and building codes
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
