Concrete Estimator

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with concrete projects, ensuring that all aspects are considered for both commercial and residential jobs. The Concrete Estimator will play a key role in the bidding process and project planning, contributing to the overall success of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates for concrete works.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Prepare detailed estimates including quantities, labor, materials, and overhead costs.
• Review bids, contracts, and subcontractor proposals to ensure all costs are accounted for.
• Maintain a database of costs and historical data to improve future estimates.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project requirements and conditions.
• Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines based on estimates.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Concrete Estimator or similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of concrete materials, methods, and construction processes.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate estimating.
• Familiarity with commercial and residential construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members.
