Position Overview
The Construction Administrator will oversee and manage the administrative aspects of construction projects, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. This role is critical in facilitating communication between project teams, subcontractors, and vendors, while also ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and track construction project documentation including RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals.
- Facilitate communication between subcontractors and project managers.
- Update and maintain logs for project changes, task orders, and financial performance.
- Process shop drawings and ensure accuracy before submission to relevant parties.
- Handle the workflow of RFIs, ensuring they are routed to the correct vendors and addressed promptly.
- Obtain pricing and monitor the financial aspects of project changes and updates.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for USACE compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- Proven experience in construction project management.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Experience with document control systems and software.
