Construction Estimator - Asphalt & Paving

Position Overview

We are a full-service construction company handling projects of all sizes. Our services include roadway, railway, and bridge construction, asphalt manufacturing and paving, and sitework and development. Each year, we successfully complete hundreds of public and private projects, delivering innovative solutions and exceptional value for our clients. We are looking to bring on a talented Estimator to join our team. This role will be responsible for the preparation and review of assigned roadway construction and / or asphalt paving estimate packages. Responsibilities

• Analyze plans, proposals, specifications, RFPs, and other project documents to create precise and competitive estimates / bid packages.
• Obtain and compile estimates from subcontractors and vendors.
• Generate reports and analyses related to estimating as requested by management.
• Evaluate labor, equipment, and material costs to prepare estimate / bid packages.
• Develop accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings.
• Produce detailed final contract estimates for Asphalt Paving and Roadway / Site Development Projects.
• Assess project risks and exposures, incorporating these into cost estimates.
• Identify potential construction issues during the estimating process.
• Suggest value-engineering alternatives.
