Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, ensuring that all necessary materials, labor, and overheads are accounted for. The role will involve collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to deliver competitive bids and maintain project budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects
• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project requirements
• Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets
• Review and negotiate bids from subcontractors and suppliers
• Utilize software tools such as Blue Beam and Procore for project management and estimation purposes
• Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing
• Provide support during the bidding process and assist in bid presentations
• Monitor project costs and assist in cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a construction estimator in the commercial sector
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques
• Experience with fencing projects is a plus
• Proficiency in estimation software, specifically Blue Beam and Procore
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
