Position Overview
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes within the organization. This role ensures that all products and services meet the required quality standards and compliance regulations, while fostering a culture of trust, care, and respect within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead quality control audits and inspections
- Develop company checklists for quality control
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure quality standards are met
- Track and report project progress related to quality control
- Establish testing requirements and procedures for various projects
- Manage the inspection process and ensure compliance with contractual specifications
- Work collaboratively with the superintendent to address quality concerns
- Report on quality control performance metrics to upper management
- Review jobs in preconstruction to identify potential quality issues
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Manager or similar role in construction management
- Thorough understanding of contract specifications, quality control procedures, and audit checklists
- Strong leadership skills and ability to foster a collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with quality inspection and quality engineering principles
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools
- Knowledge of Six Sigma principles and techniques
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
