Title: Continuous Improvement Manager - Packaging Manufacturer

Location: Conover, NC - Relocation Offered

Salary: $120,000 - $135,000 Bonus

Founded in 2005 we are a 2000 employee global organization. We are a leading protective packaging material and system organization 30 facilities across North America. We have increased our headcount by 15% over the past 2 years as we continue to gain market share in the space and invest in new technologies. We provide everything from customer packaging design to testing & analysis to industrial packaging machinery for our clients across the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Continuous Improvement projects to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce waste.
  • Develop and implement Six Sigma strategies to measure and improve performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in packaging operations.
  • Conduct training sessions on Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools for staff and management.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis for process failures and develop corrective action plans.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on Continuous Improvement.
  • Proven experience with Six Sigma methodologies and certifications (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
  • Strong understanding of packaging processes and systems, including sheet foam and air cushioning.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
