We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC programming, HVAC systems, and building automation, with a focus on optimizing manufacturing processes and enhancing system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control systems for industrial equipment and HVAC applications
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs and related control devices
- Make occasional edits to Equipment Touch HMI to interface with special programs
- Perform testing of control sequences with hardware trainers
- Alter aftermarket unit logic based on Sequence of Operations and/or customer requests
- Implement sequence programming for various manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with existing infrastructures
- Utilize scripting languages for automation and system enhancements
- Maintain and update documentation for control systems and programming
- Provide technical support and training to operational staff regarding control systems
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 2 years of sequence programming for industrial equipment (HVAC systems preferred)
- ABET Certification preferred
- Familiarity with scripting languages (JavaScript, Groovy, .NET, C#, etc.)
- Familiarity with IP networks and protocols
- Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and servicing internal customers
- Proven experience in PLC programming and industrial control systems
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation
