Controls Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC programming, HVAC systems, and building automation, with a focus on optimizing manufacturing processes and enhancing system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems for industrial equipment and HVAC applications
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs and related control devices
• Make occasional edits to Equipment Touch HMI to interface with special programs
• Perform testing of control sequences with hardware trainers
• Alter aftermarket unit logic based on Sequence of Operations and/or customer requests
• Implement sequence programming for various manufacturing processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with existing infrastructures
• Utilize scripting languages for automation and system enhancements
• Maintain and update documentation for control systems and programming
• Provide technical support and training to operational staff regarding control systems
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 2 years of sequence programming for industrial equipment (HVAC systems preferred)
• ABET Certification preferred
• Familiarity with scripting languages (JavaScript, Groovy, .NET, C#, etc.)
• Familiarity with IP networks and protocols
• Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and servicing internal customers
• Proven experience in PLC programming and industrial control systems
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation
