We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing and managing the costs of our products and services, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of cost information to support decision-making processes within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze cost reports to track and control costs of production and operations
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate inventory accounting and reporting
- Conduct cost variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with operational goals
- Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to optimize cost management processes
- Evaluate and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve overall profitability
- Utilize ERP and SAP systems to maintain accurate cost records and reporting
- Support the monthly closing process by ensuring all cost-related entries are accurately recorded
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices
- Experience with inventory accounting and management
- Proficiency in cost analysis and variance reporting
- Familiarity with the cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations
- Experience with ERP and SAP systems is preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
