We are seeking an experienced Defense Counsel specializing in Medical Malpractice to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal guidance and representation in medical malpractice cases, focusing on liability issues and legal strategy. The role requires a deep understanding of the complexities of medical law and the ability to effectively advocate for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in medical malpractice cases, providing expert legal counsel and advocacy.
- Conduct depositions and manage discovery processes to gather necessary evidence.
- Develop and implement effective legal strategies to defend clients against malpractice claims.
- Prepare legal documents, briefs, and motions to support case objectives.
- Conduct thorough legal research to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing counsel when appropriate.
- Assist in trial preparation and provide support during trial proceedings as needed.
- Manage case files and maintain organized records of all legal documents and communications.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar license in the relevant state.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical malpractice defense or related legal field.
- Strong understanding of liability issues and legal strategy specific to medical malpractice cases.
- Proficiency in conducting depositions and managing litigation processes.
- Excellent negotiation and legal writing skills.
- Ability to represent clients effectively in a variety of legal settings.
- Familiarity with insurance defense, regulatory compliance, and risk management principles is a plus.

Salary : $105,000 - $160,000
