Position Overview
The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing the information technology strategy and implementation across the organization. This role involves leading IT projects, managing infrastructure, ensuring security protocols, and optimizing technology use to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the IT strategy aligned with the organization's goals.
- Oversee IT project management, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage and optimize the IT infrastructure to improve efficiency and performance.
- Ensure cybersecurity measures are in place and regularly updated to protect organizational data.
- Lead and mentor the IT team, promoting professional development and a collaborative environment.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best services and products.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, governance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate budgeting for the IT department, ensuring proper allocation of resources.
- Implement data management practices to maintain data integrity and accessibility.
- Monitor network administration and ensure the stability and security of the organization's network.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in IT project management with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure management, cloud computing, and cybersecurity practices.
- Experience in vendor management and negotiating service contracts.
- Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and compliance regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management and development.
- Capability in budgeting and financial management within an IT context.
- Understanding of data management and network administration principles.
- Knowledge of risk management and virtualization technologies.
