EHS Manager - Paper, Pulp, Manufacturing, Industrial, OSHA

Position Overview

The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and to promote a safe workplace within the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Lead training programs to educate employees on EHS practices and promote a culture of safety.
• Collaborate with management to ensure environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives are met.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing reports and implementing preventive measures.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial hygiene practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Certifications in EHS management (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP) are preferred.
• Experience in the paper or pulp industry is a huge plus.
