The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and to promote a safe workplace within the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead training programs to educate employees on EHS practices and promote a culture of safety.
- Collaborate with management to ensure environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives are met.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing reports and implementing preventive measures.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial hygiene practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Certifications in EHS management (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP) are preferred.
- Experience in the paper or pulp industry is a huge plus.
