EHS Manager - Wastewater, Stormwater, Title V, Chemicals

Position Overview

The EHS Manager will oversee the environmental health and safety programs within the organization, ensuring compliance with OSHA, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards. This role is crucial in promoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace, while also managing wastewater, Title V/air permitting, chemical and stormwater environmental safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify safety hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Manage the environmental management system in alignment with ISO 14001 and safety management systems according to ISO 45001.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS practices and emergency response procedures.
• Prepare and submit necessary reports for environmental compliance, including wastewater and air permitting documents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into manufacturing operations.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Engineering or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in EHS management within an automotive/motor vehicle manufacturing environment is ideal but not required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and related regulations.
• Strong experience with wastewater management, stormwater regulations, and Title V air permitting is ideal as this position is environmental heavy.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar is preferred.
