Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate occupational medical services for site personnel.
- Serve as a liaison with EHS regulatory agencies and local fire departments.
- Oversee internal and regulatory audits to ensure compliance.
- Provide technical support to site personnel, reviewing internal procedures for safety concerns.
- Conduct internal audits to verify adherence to policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement the site's Emergency Response and Business Continuity Plan.
- Prepare reports and maintain records to meet regulatory requirements.
- Manage environmental permits related to air and water compliance.
- Administer programs aimed at maintaining a safe, injury-free workplace.
- Oversee and/or facilitate required EHS training.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding EHS matters.
- Support site management in establishing EHS goals.
- Build and lead a high-performance team, supervising and mentoring subordinates.
- Foster strong organizational relationships through coaching, training, and empowerment.
- Stay current with OSHA Safety, Occupational Health, and EPA regulations.
- Act as the site's Radiation Safety Officer.
- Degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in EHS management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant government regulations.
- Certification in Hazardous Waste Management in Maine
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Proficiency in conducting audits and implementing process improvements.
