Electrical Estimator

Position: Jr. Electrical Estimator

The Jr. Electrical Estimator will assist in the preparation of accurate and competitive bids for electrical construction projects in various industries, including commercial, industrial, K-12, government, data centers, and healthcare. The ideal candidate will have experience with Accubid and Livecount software and a strong understanding of electrical construction processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
• Utilize Accubid and Livecount software to accurately estimate labor, materials, and equipment costs
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop project bids
• Create detailed take-offs and cost breakdowns for various electrical construction projects
• Attend project site visits and meetings to gather information and assess project scope
• Participate in bid review meetings and make necessary revisions to bids
• Maintain accurate and organized bid files and documentation
• Assist in the preparation of change orders and cost estimates for ongoing projects
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in materials and labor costs
  
  

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as an estimator in the electrical construction industry
• Strong knowledge of Accubid and Livecount software
• Experience with commercial, industrial, K-12, government, data centers, and healthcare projects
• Understanding of electrical construction processes and terminology
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
