This role involves collaborating with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information, assess materials, labor, and overhead costs, and provide detailed proposals for various electrical systems including data centers, industrial facilities, substations, and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work.
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for electrical projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to gather relevant data and project requirements.
- Analyze and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals to determine best options for project execution.
- Maintain and update estimating databases with labor rates, material costs, and market trends.
- Provide support during the bidding process, answering questions and clarifying project details as needed.
- Develop and present detailed proposals to clients to secure project awards.
- 6 Years of Proven experience as an electrical estimator in construction or related fields.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and components, including datacom and industrial applications.
- Familiarity with estimating software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
