We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for projects, ensuring that all costs are accounted for and that bids are competitive. This role plays a crucial part in the overall success and profitability of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates based on project specifications and requirements
- Analyze construction documents, drawings, and proposals to determine project costs
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Bill of Materials for each project
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate estimates
- Conduct site visits to assess project needs and gather necessary information for estimates
- Prepare and submit bids in a timely manner while adhering to deadlines
- Monitor project costs during execution to ensure profitability and manage financial risks
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for clients
- Utilize industry standards and best practices in estimating processes
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior estimators and team members
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, Business Management, or equivalent, and demonstrated work experience
- Five (5) years operational experience in estimating, with at least two (2) years of electrical trade experience
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of electrical trade and operational aspects
- Familiarity with profit and loss management and annual revenue forecasting
- Certification as a Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) is preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Leadership experience in a team-oriented environment
- Profit Sharing = eligible for up to 10% of their base salary
