Position Overview
The Engineering Team Lead will oversee and guide a team of engineers in the design and execution of HVAC and plumbing projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of project management to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with local building codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers in the design and implementation of HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Ensure project planning, execution, and completion align with client expectations and regulatory standards.
- Conduct energy analysis and value engineering to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.
- Interpret project prints and specifications to guide the engineering team in accurate execution.
- Oversee project design phases, providing technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and industry standards during project execution.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software for design and visualization purposes.
- Perform load calculations and system type evaluations to support project development.
- Provide technical training and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- California professional engineering license preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing design.
- Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
- Familiarity with energy analysis tools and techniques, including Trace 700.
- Strong understanding of local building codes and installation standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with LEED and green building practices is a plus.

Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
