Position Overview
The Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a safe workplace. This role involves collaborating with various departments to minimize risks and enhance health and safety standards in the manufacturing environment, particularly in food manufacturing settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide training and support to employees on health and safety practices, including FSMA, SQF, and other relevant standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain records of safety training, inspections, and incidents as required by regulatory agencies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices related to environmental health and safety.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in environmental health and safety, preferably in a manufacturing or food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including FSMA and SQF standards.
- Familiarity with safety management systems such as LLUMIN, CDx, and KEIMS is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels.

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
