The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered for budgetary purposes. This role is crucial for the successful financial planning and execution of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and timelines.
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope and gather information for accurate estimates.
- Research and gather data on material costs, labor rates, and other factors affecting project budgets.
- Prepare and present estimates to clients and management, providing clear explanations of cost components.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure that costs remain within approved limits.
- Utilize estimating software such as Sage, PlanSwift, and Timberline to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and cost estimation techniques.
- Familiarity with industrial, concrete, and commercial construction projects is preferred.
- Experience with project management principles and practices.
- Proficient in using estimating software (Sage, PlanSwift, Timberline) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with great attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
