Position Overview

The Estimator will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and project management support. This position will involve analyzing project specifications, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with various stakeholders to prepare bids and ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on project specifications and drawings.
• Analyze blueprints and technical drawings to determine project requirements and costs.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs to assess materials and labor needed for the project.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop comprehensive project schedules and plans.
• Perform risk assessments to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids in accordance with client and project requirements.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve cost-effective solutions.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD to create and manage estimation documents and technical drawings.
• Maintain communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment and address any concerns.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation techniques and project management principles.
• Familiarity with electrical codes and construction regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and other relevant software tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
