We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs and preparing bids for structural steel projects. The role requires collaboration with project managers and engineers to ensure that estimates are precise and meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work for structural steel projects.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment for steel fabrication and miscellaneous steel projects.
- Utilize Tekla software to create detailed model-based estimates and ensure accuracy in takeoffs.
- Analyze blueprints and other project documents to identify potential challenges or discrepancies in project scope.
- Work closely with project managers and engineers to clarify project requirements and provide technical support during the bidding process.
- Maintain organized records of estimates and bids, including changes and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay informed about market trends and pricing for steel materials and related services to ensure competitive bids.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Structural Steel Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in Tekla and Bluebeam software for estimating and project management.
- In-depth knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes and standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in estimating.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Salary : $80,000 - $105,000
