Estimator

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects using HCSS and other estimating software.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare comprehensive estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and ensure competitive bidding.
• Review and assess bid proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements and company standards.
• Maintain a database of labor, material, and equipment costs to improve estimating accuracy over time.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather relevant information for estimates.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as an Estimator in heavy civil construction.
• Proficiency in HCSS estimating software and other construction management tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and costs related to heavy civil projects.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teams and clients.
• Experience in bridge, transportation, and roadway construction is a plus.
