Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fire protection principles and experience with a variety of fire alarm systems and special hazards. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients' facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and inspect fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Perform regular maintenance and testing of fire alarm systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning fire alarm systems.
- Document all service calls and repairs thoroughly.
- Work closely with clients to explain system operations and maintenance requirements.
- Provide training to clients on fire safety and alarm systems if needed.
- Stay updated on industry standards, technologies, and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
- NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems is a plus.
- Possession of a FAST (Fire Alarm Systems Technician) License is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, special hazards, and fire protection principles.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
