Fleet Mechanic - Vehicle Maintenance

We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Maintenance and Fleet Mechanic to oversee the maintenance and management of our fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in vehicle maintenance, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of fleet management practices. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our fleet operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles.
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate records of repairs.
• Manage and coordinate the scheduling of maintenance and repairs.
• Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures.
• Utilize fleet maintenance management software to track and manage fleet operations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required.
• Utilize welding and soldering skills as needed.
• Assist with tire service and replacement.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fleet Mechanic, Service Technician, or Fleet Manager.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Experience with semi-trucks and in-frame repairs.
• Ability to run fleet maintenance management software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have own tools to perform required tasks.
• Good communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
