Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Foreman to oversee and coordinate construction activities on our site. The Foreman will ensure that the work is completed safely, on time, and within budget while leading a team of workers and collaborating with other trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations on the construction site.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Communicate with project managers and other stakeholders regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
- Lead and motivate a team of workers, providing guidance and support as necessary.
- Manage materials and equipment on site, ensuring they are used efficiently and effectively.
- Track project timelines and budgets, reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Proven experience as a Foreman or similar role in construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety standards.
- Experience with drilling, blasting, tunneling, and shaft sinking is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
