You will assist in setting the strategic direction for all geospatial activities, overseeing the development and implementation of enterprise-wide GIS solutions, and fostering a culture of innovation within the GIS team.
Responsibilities
- Seek opportunities to expand environmental consulting services by building strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of a strategic vision for geospatial activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead and mentor the GIS team to foster a high-performance and results-driven environment.
- Oversee the creation and deployment of complex geospatial solutions, including custom applications, data integration, and advanced spatial analysis.
- Promote the adoption of new GIS technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Advocate for GIS value across the organization by collaborating with various internal departments.
- Effectively manage GIS resources to align with budget and project requirements.
- Break down projects into actionable tasks with clear timelines using project management skills.
- Ensure data governance and security protocols are maintained for all geospatial data.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences and events, building external partnerships and staying updated on industry trends.
- Maintain strong relationships with key vendors and technology providers.
- Master's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field (or a Bachelor's degree with significant experience).
- 7-10 years of leadership experience in the GIS field, with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Proven ability to create and implement strategic GIS initiatives that drive growth and deliver business value.
- Extensive experience with GIS technologies, including spatial data analysis, geoprocessing, scripting languages (Python, ArcPy), and leading GIS platforms (ArcGIS Pro).
- Proficiency in PODS version 7.2.
- Experience with Field Maps and Arcade scripting language.
- Experience with Trimble GPS systems and software integration.
- Advanced skills in PostGIS, LiDAR data processing, and Python programming.
- Experience in LRS and ARP as applied within ArcGIS Pro and PODS.
- Experience with ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- In-depth knowledge of pipeline operations, particularly upstream and midstream.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinking ability with a focus on ROI and cost-benefit analysis.
- Capacity to motivate, inspire, and delegate effectively within a team.

Salary : $95,000 - $115,000
