Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements for government clients
- Develop and implement audit plans and strategies
- Conduct audits in accordance with GAAS and GAAP standards
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Mentor and train junior audit staff
- Collaborate with clients to address audit issues and recommendations
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and best practices in government auditing
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or actively pursuing CPA
- 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on government audits
- Strong knowledge of GAAS and GAAP
- Experience in compliance and non-profit auditing is a plus
- Proficient in Excel and QuickBooks
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
