Provide essential technician level support to Hardware Development team. Manage and maintain R&D hardware lab in a safe effective manner. Transport, setup, support, and teardown equipment for regulatory compliance testing. Conduct product verification testing. Conduct testing to assist in resolving customer issues. Manage component inventory for R&D purposes. Manage systems and environments for R&D purposes.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Board rework - soldering, reading schematics, replacing parts on PCBAs, modify circuits. Transport product to/from local labs if rework is beyond internal capabilities.
- Computer skills - Microsoft tools, Teraterm scripting, basic networking configuration, generation of test plans and test reports.
- Execute verification testing on new designs as needed to assist R&D team members.
- Execute verification testing of OEM products that do not require a dedicated R&D team member.
- Assist R&D team members with analysis of field returns.
- Assist R&D team members with analysis of competitive products.
- Perform qualification testing of fiber optic modules targeted for use in new and existing designs.
- Transport, setup, support, and teardown equipment for regulatory compliance testing.
- 3 years' experience.
- Experience soldering (especially small surface mount components), operating various test equipment, and testing product in a design environment.
- Experience working with network configurations.
- Experience with testing various power tools and equipment in a safe proper manner.
- Experience in prototype validation testing of electronic products in a design environment.
- Experience in rework of PCBA's including soldering fine pitch IC's and small surface mount components.
- Telecom huge plus
- Writing scripts and automating tests is a plus.
