Lead Estimator

Position Overview

As a Lead Estimator, you will be responsible for overseeing the estimation process for commercial painting and coatings projects. You will work closely with project managers, sales teams, and subcontractors to ensure that all estimates are accurate, detailed, and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for commercial painting and coatings projects
• Lead estimating team to ensure accurate, and on time, estimates
• Collaborate with project managers and sales teams to ensure all estimates meet client needs and expectations
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Track project costs and expenses to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and techniques to ensure accuracy and competitiveness of estimates
• Manage and mentor junior estimators to ensure accuracy and consistency of estimates
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as an estimator in the commercial painting and coatings industry
• Strong knowledge of commercial paint and coatings products, materials, and techniques
• Expertise in estimation software and tools
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
• Ability to manage and mentor junior estimators
