At CyberCoders, we are seeking a highly skilled Estimator (Heavy Civil) to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the bidding process for heavy civil construction projects. This position requires a keen understanding of construction methods, project management, and cost estimation techniques for roads, streets, and other infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil projects including roads, streets, bridges, and infrastructure.
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine scope and requirements for bidding.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather relevant information for cost estimation.
- Evaluate supplier bids and negotiate pricing to ensure competitive estimates.
- Develop and maintain cost databases for historical project data to improve future estimates.
- Present estimates and proposals to management and clients as needed.
- Monitor project costs and assist in cost control during the construction phase.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for heavy civil construction projects.
- Proven experience managing infrastructure projects including widening roads, asphalt overlays, and street construction.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with clients and suppliers.
