Heavy Civil Project Manager

I am looking for a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and serve as the liaison between project members and clients, ensuring timely completion of projects within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and collaborate on pre-construction activities.
• Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, pay applications) and negotiate sub-contract change orders.
• Provide leadership to the overall project, managing superintendents and subcontractors.
• Perform project scheduling, negotiations, and attend production/QC meetings.
• Cultivate positive relationships with new and existing clients during and after project completion.
• Identify potential risks and establish detailed plans to minimize them.
• Monitor financial status throughout the project.
• Manage project closeout effectively.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of practical field experience in construction, including roles such as tradesman, foreman, field engineer, or superintendent.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a relevant program preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction practices, procedures, administration, and safety.
• Practical knowledge of standard software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe.
• Experience with project management software applications is a plus.
• Ability to prepare scopes of work (SOW), itemized change order estimates, and proposal preparation duties.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to visit project sites.
