Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and licensed High Voltage/Powerhouse Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing high voltage electrical systems in an industrial setting, ensuring optimal functionality and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain high voltage electrical systems and equipment in powerhouse facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs on industrial electrical equipment including Motor Control Centers (MCCs).
- Collaborate with other trades to integrate electrical systems with mechanical and control systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand electrical layouts and installations.
- Ensure adherence to industrial electrical safety standards and practices during all job functions.
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician certification is required.
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician with knowledge of high voltage systems.
- Familiarity with Powerhouse electrical operations and safety protocols.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), HMI and PLC systems, and AC/DC electrical fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
