The Senior Attorney - Insurance Defense will be responsible for representing clients in various insurance defense matters, ensuring effective legal strategies are employed to protect clients' interests. This role involves handling complex legal issues and managing cases from inception to resolution while providing expert legal counsel to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from start to finish.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Represent clients in court, negotiations, and mediations.
- Oversee and participate in discovery investigations, including depositions and document requests.
- Develop and execute effective claim settlement strategies.
- Advise clients on legal rights and responsibilities related to insurance claims.
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters and other professionals to gather relevant information and evidence.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state of PA, MD, DE, and/or NJ
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense law.
- Proficient in legal research tools such as Lexis.
- Strong understanding of claim settlement processes and insurance regulations.
- Excellent client representation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Experience in handling complex litigation and trial preparation.
- Competitive salary $135k - $175k
