Title: Industrial Electrician - Paving Stone & Retaining Wall Manufacturer
Location: Marengo, IL 60152
Hourly: $34 - $40 / Hour Overtime (Target Earnings $110,000 - $125,000)
Working Hours: Mon-Fri 5am-5pm (EVERY 4 WEEKS YOU ROTATE FROM DAY SHIFT TO NIGHT SHIFT WHICH IS Mon-Fri 5pm-5am - WORK 10 HOURS WITHIN THOSE HOURS)
Founded in the 1972 we are a 1,000 employee manufacturer of paving stones & retaining walls for customers across North America. For our facility in Marengo we have 150 employees and roughly 90 of those are on the production floor (Maintenance department has 12 total). We've grown by 12% over the past 2 years as we continue to invest in new technologies & gain market share in the space. This Industrial Electrician position has flexibility on start time and the ideal person will be a strong industrial electrician with exposure to machinery, PLCs and knowledge of 480V.

What You Will Be Doing
- Lockout Tag-Out (LOTO) on all work performed
- Ensure operation of electrical systems & equipment by completing preventive maintenance on plant equipment, programmable controllers, transformers, voltage regulators & machinery wiring by following electrical code, manuals, schematic drawings etc
- Install new equipment to manufacturer specifications (installing power supply wiring & conduit)
- Repair electrical systems & equipment by diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus i.e. transformers, motors & lighting fixtures, determining faulty wiring, inspecting & testing malfunctioning machinery
- Program automated machinery by operating, testing for malfunctions & verifying repairs
- Work w/ vendors & other outside contracts to gather info to maintain & repair equipment
- Assist to maintain electrical spare parts inventory levels
- 3 years of industrial electrician experience in a manufacturing setting
- Working knowledge of 480-volt systems, motor controls & variable speed drives
- Ability to assist in areas of maintenance & production
- Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting equipment i.e. Volt Meter, Megohmmeter, Amp Meter, Continuity Tester etc
- Ability to read & interpret blueprints
- PLC experience (ideally Siemens) is a plus
- Hydraulic background is a plus (exposure to machinery)
- Bilingual in Spanish would be a nice perk
