Position Overview

The Industrial Estimator will play a critical role in preparing detailed cost estimates for industrial projects, focusing on process piping and mechanical systems. This position requires a deep understanding of industrial processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with project management and engineering teams to develop accurate bids and proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project blueprints and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for labor, materials, and other costs.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess project scope and determine estimation priorities.
• Prepare detailed bid proposals, including cost breakdowns and justifications for all estimated items.
• Conduct market research to gather data on pricing for materials, labor, and other relevant costs.
• Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor project budgets and provide updates and adjustments as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in the development of risk assessments related to cost and project execution.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred)
• 3 years industrial estimating experience
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and process piping
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
