Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Principal Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and demonstration of multi-INT sensor framework (Joint Capabilities Integration & Development (JICD) Common Services). The ideal candidate will receive vendor delivered source code and containerized components, maintain code libraries, inspect/compile code in lab environments, build and maintain demonstration systems, and integrate with external systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong background in software development (Python, Java, C )
- Experience with Linux System Administration: data center management, local area networks, and serving static, dynamic and streaming content over the web
- Ability to build a Linux system from scratch, take delivery of Docker containers from software developers, and install/configure them (with reach-back support to developers if needed)
- Familiarity with Docker to building and deploying containerized apps
- Lab/Field Demo/experimentation support
- Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
- Linux CE certified (plus)
