The Senior Audit Manager for Financial Institutions will lead audit engagements for banking clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. This role is essential for providing high-level insights and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements for financial institutions, including banks.
- Develop audit plans and strategies tailored to client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify areas for improvement in internal controls.
- Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Foster strong relationships with clients to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting financial institutions.
- Mentor and coach junior audit staff to develop their skills and professional growth.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure comprehensive audit coverage.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of audit experience, preferably in the financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated client service and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong technical acumen and proficiency in audit methodologies.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
