Position Overview
The IT Network Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the network infrastructure and ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of network operations. This is a hands-on role collaborating with peers, with one direct report providing effective support and maintenance of network systems, implementing cloud solutions, and ensuring the infrastructure meets the organization's needs. This role will also oversee the help desk.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the network operations of the company to ensure efficient and effective network performance.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect network infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Own Endpoint Detection and Response.
- Handle all Cybersecurity incident response.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of servers and backup systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely support to resolve incidents and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with other IT functions to align network operations with overall organizational goals and strategies.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for network operations, including documentation and reporting.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud solutions to enhance network capabilities and performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in network operations and management, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of network security, infrastructure, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with Cybersecurity tools.
- Experience with support and maintenance of PCs, servers, networks, telecommunications, hardware and software systems.
- Experience with network protocols and concepts.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose network issues effectively.
- Supervisory and leadership skills are a big plus.
