Position Overview
The Land Development Manager will oversee all phases of land development projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and effective project management from conception to completion. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize land use and enhance project feasibility while managing budgets and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage land development projects from initial planning through to completion.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine land suitability and compliance with zoning regulations.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely delivery and adherence to financial constraints.
- Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and community members, to facilitate project approvals and address concerns.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards throughout the development process.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and contractors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Utilize GIS technology for mapping and analyzing land development opportunities and constraints.
- Assess risks associated with projects and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
- Manage the permitting process, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with civil engineering teams to design infrastructure and utilities that support development projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in land development or project management.
- Strong knowledge of zoning regulations, land use planning, and environmental compliance.
- Proficient in GIS and other land development software tools.
- Excellent contract negotiation and budget management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Experience with construction management and infrastructure development.
- Demonstrated ability in risk assessment and management.
