The Role

You will lead the design and development of advanced electronic systems and components. Responsibilities include:

• Spearhead the creation, prototyping, and evaluation of electronic circuits and systems for soldering and rework equipment, including BGA installation and removal tools; craft detailed schematics and layouts using CAD software like Altium; ensure designs adhere to performance, safety, reliability, and regulatory standards.
• Oversee multiple design projects from inception to production, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget; work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
• Discover and apply advanced technologies and methods to enhance product performance and cost-effectiveness; conduct root-cause analysis and implement solutions for design issues or field problems.
• Create and implement test plans for prototypes and production units, ensuring they meet specifications and standards; use simulation tools (e.g., SPICE) for circuit analysis and optimization.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including BOMs, test reports, and electrical drawings; ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., CE, CSA, and UL).
• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns; conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve team performance.
  
  

What's Required

• 8 yrs in electrical circuit design and development including analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit design
• PCB layout and design tools
• Experience leading projects
• A desire to grow into the Manager of the engineering team
• BSEE strongly desired
