Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
- File and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurately maintained and easily accessible.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of court documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals to facilitate case management.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and phone calls, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proven experience as a legal secretary or in a similar administrative role within a law firm.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and document formatting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research software.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
