Position Overview
The Corporate Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in managing litigation cases, preparing for trials, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures. This role is essential in organizing evidence, drafting legal documents, and communicating with clients throughout the litigation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial activities.
- Manage case files and maintain organization of documents and evidence.
- Prepare for trials by organizing exhibits, preparing trial notebooks, and coordinating witness schedules.
- Conduct legal research and assist in drafting motions and pleadings.
- Assist in the discovery process by managing document requests and compliance with court rules.
- Draft deposition summaries and case summaries for attorney review.
- Coordinate court filings and ensure timely submission of documents to the court.
- Maintain effective client communication, providing updates and gathering necessary information.
- Review documents for relevance and compliance with legal standards.
- Support attorneys with litigation strategy and trial preparation activities.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a legal environment.
- Paralegal certification from an accredited program is preferred.
- Proven experience in corporate litigation and familiarity with court procedures.
- Strong skills in case management and litigation support.
- Excellent legal writing and communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and document management software.
- Experience with trial preparation and understanding of evidence organization.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
