Position Overview
The Manager of Applications is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of software applications within the organization. This role ensures that application systems meet the business needs, are efficient and effectively utilized, and are aligned with the overall technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the application development team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Manage ERP systems and ensure seamless integration with other applications.
- Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of existing applications to improve performance and user experience.
- Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and implement new application solutions.
- Develop and enforce application standards and best practices within the organization.
- Analyze and optimize SQL databases to support application functionality.
- Ensure that APIs are effectively developed and utilized across applications.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8 years of proven experience in application management and development with 3 years managing a team and vendors.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and experience with SQL databases.
- Experience with API development and integration.
- Excellent understanding of technology trends and how they can be applied to improve business processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.
